Eben,
I live in Stockholm. Sweden.
Last night I purchased materials from another marketer Title Master of Copyrighting 2008 and it was a huge disappointment and I in fact felt cheated because I was led into my products to buy when the first product didn't deliver. Then I ran into your email. I've received emails from you before but I mostly ignore them because there's just too many offers coming in. While mulling over my disappointment and nursing my frustration, I open you mail and watched your video. I have to say this was one of the best piece of info I received for free in a long time. Your honesty, clarity and straight forwardness had my rapt attention and I nearly wrote down every word you said. I am struggling to market my self-published book and grow my entertainment business. I am interested in learning more. For now, you've made me a client.
Thanks,
Silvan

Hi Eban,
Thanks for this great video.
As a student of your "Wakeup Productive" course, I know this program is going to over deliver as well.
I can say that I'm so much ahead with managing & minimising distrations & interruptions with your help.
Today's great lesson for me is moving the Free Line! & educating the prospects on what I have to offer.
Great advise that I can start implementing.
Other great advise about people - Being in Network Marketing this is great in screening people when recruiting.
Only thing I am not sure at this stage is how the systems that you mentioned will apply to my business, being in MLM.
What I am bout to do is to send your link to my prospects, because I know they will get huge value from you.
I got to know you though a link on Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring Newsletter. I am really grateful to Mike for sharing it because otherwise I will not probably find you.
Thanks again Eben & look forward to your nest email.
Have a fantastic Day!

Thank you, Eben, for practicing what you preach about "moving the free line" by expanding how much value you give entrepreneurs.
My ghostwriting clients are all CEOs, White House officials, pro athletes and entertainers, and even with them, I try to impress upon them the importance of integrating high value, content rich material into the books I write on their behalf. So, I guess your encouragement to always "move the free line" lives on through those whom you teach. Thanks for passing the torch of knowledge, Eben.

Eben,
Great information as usual. A person could build a profitable/sustainable on-line (or off-line) business entirely from the information you give away for free in these videos. It is refreshing to have a great mentor like yourself as I grow my business. Times are changing and as always we've got to know who to trust. Eben Pagan is one of the good guys! The more people that utilize his knowledge the better off this world will be. Let Eben take over the auto and mortgage industries and we will never need another 'bailout'. Eben Pagan is the future of business and productivity!

Thank you Eben for another wonderful and informative video. Your point form is easy to follow and from this one video I am able to understand and deal with people inside and outside my organization better. In the past I have been called a "troublemaker" when in fact, I know understand that I'm a driver; pushing to get results can make "C people" look bad. Thank you again!

Hi Eban,
Thanks for the video. i liked to be reminded of the "moving the freeline" again. Anyways, i liked that you somehow gave an extract of the whole altitude stuff from last year, that i watched. You have been the first one of now 20 or so mostly American Internet Marketers that i listen to to put together all the puzzle pieces. What you say is keeping to make more sense, and i find you truely more "alternative" than i had first thought you were.
It is starting to come together piece by piece now for me.
Thanks a lot.

hi Eben,
Great training video, summarizes alot of the entreprenurial process.
I liked the emotional marketing that you emphasized. People are sold on 90% emotional compared to logic. My online dating sites sells mostly on 99% emotion.
Also, got your message about hiring people with initiative. Next person I hire, I'll give them scenarios and see if they are proactive if put in a position where they need to make decisions on their own.
Thanks for your vision and keep it coming...

I am simply blessed...thanx for the wonderful business strategies. If you plan to sell just this video or give transcripts, count me in.

This video, as all the others that have look at is very practical and offer great value.
You can definitely deliver.
I like how you rub it in.
Some of the information about hiring is a bit above my head (for now)but the the idea about the grey zone hit the spot.
I now know why I hate multi-tasking.
I heard you speak of free line content before, but your analogy about the resturant really clear it up in my head.
The mind set should really be, give and then recieve.
As a customer I like to recieve (value)before I buy but it never occur to me that as infopenuers I should give value before I expect to get paid.
That's some wisdom for all (life lessons).
I really enjoy your presentations.
Great job!

Eban,
You have just presented what I believe many of us already know. The questions then become, why are we not at the level that we want to be at. I think the answer is that we do not take the time to get it right. We (I) procrastinate, allow myself to become distracted and then get caught in a rut. Thank you for waking me up. Within this short time that I took to review your introduction video, I have come to the realization that I need to begin to take action now! Not tomorrow, not next week and not in the "New Year" (as son many unfaithfully say they will do but, never take the actions necessary)...it needs to be NOW...before I fall back into the old habits. I will move forward for here and I look forward to reviewing your future posting.
Sincerely,
Ron R.

First- I like the name choice of Altitude.
Second- I liked the info on reducing distractions and getting out of the gray zone. Multi-tasking lowering IQ and the importance of focusing on one thing. (I need help here!)
Last- I really liked the three questions for new employees...these will actually help me when applied to myself on a daily basis.

Hey Eben,
As usual GREAT information. I was bummed out that I wasn't able to make your first Altitude training program but, I'm optimistic that I'll be able to attend this one. The only negative comment I have is that your Altitude training program is scheduled too closely with the Learning seminar that you'll be conducting with Wyatt Woodsmal later on this month. Either than that, I really do hope to be able to make it to your Altitude training program this year. Once again, thanks for the GREAT FREE information.

Hi Eben
Very interesting stuff - thanks for sharing.
I am just within the startup of my own company on information business in the medicine field. So it is quite similar to your business - except for the field.
Most interesting for me were the topics about hte marketing. Also the idea of the daily update - because I will need people to help me in business - Although I have a good feeling for people this tool will help me definitely - not only to know a person bette but to increase his or her results but also to lower time of training the new employee.
Actually I would like to know more about the pay per click system and your marketing experiences.
I appreciate the "free line" idea as a concept which I am already following and I am sure in my country it will be also successful.
Yours

Thank you. After 30 years of being at home, it was suggested to get a job... so I considered and I framed my resume to look like a good employee - whatever that is... In retrospect, I see I have been a valuable commodity cos I am a 'driver', and never recognized my value. Thank you for bringing the distinction to my awareness. My resume will now reflect the new me and I feel a whole lot better about job hunting.

It's amazing how I quickly understood the "justice mechanism" from your videos a year back yet I have been doing the same thing and feeling the bad emotions in dealing with a business partner...
Overall, great stuff. I decided right here and there to send MYSELF a daily report.
I recently hired two reps and used your hiring tips. It's amazing how people won't do the daily reports consistently, even if otherwise pretty good!
I heard somebody say "You're not clear when you think you are, but when the other persons understand", maybe that's why...
You have given so many tips let me give you one (respectfully): when you speak to the camera or to a crowd, practice your hand gestures in reverse, so they are in the right direction for the viewer.

Eben,
For people wanting to know where to go and what to do with their businesses, the examples and applications you gave are the most important. In other words, your description of "how" or "who" during the video was the best and most applicable info. Sure, we all need to work on ourselves, but most people (from my experience) first want to have the tools that take the guesswork out of the learning curve. Then they can (and should) work on themselves to maintain the continuity of what you’re teaching. Which of course, sets you apart from the crowd. You’re giving immediate application and then showing us how to maintain it lifelong with intentional growth. Absolutely brilliant.
I specifically liked the fact that you understand (through your efforts and experiences) that people need to be sold even when they’re getting something for free. And building relationships, or “teaching them how to buy” is a certain path to success when done properly. I have no doubt that if people purchase your material they’ll be able to see much more applicable information in this area and that alone could be worth the price of anything you’re selling.
Simply can’t tell you enough how grateful I am to be learning from someone who has already carved a path out for the rest of us!
Cool stuff,
Adam King

Eben,
Thanks for the great video. One day soon I plan on purchasing the Altitude program for now it's one step at a time. I will eventually make it to the level where Altitude is a part of my business structure. Two points that stood out in the video. Area 2 point 3 Does my prospect have few or no perceived options. In my niche my prospects have many options but none is getting them results so my product is designed to help them figure out how to get the results. I that part of creating a new category? The second point is under people. I have never managed people in a business environment. I have coached a girls basketball team and worked as part of the board of directors and managing the parents was a mess. I hope managing people in a business environment is much easier. I appreciate the techniques and the resources you quoted. I definitely will be looking into implementing them as my business grows.

Focusing on one thing is key. Also some days I flounder because I don't pick one main thing I want to accomplish.
Forget employees I need to focus on the results I want to achieve. Sometimes large projects seem too big to get back to so I spend the day networking, more creative things and I don;t focus on actually accomplishing anything.

Hi Eben
You are providing some great information and insights. I think J. J. Prazen has sent me links to some of your stuff, and I'm glad he did. I am stuggling to get a business going and your information is yet another perspective of the same attraction marketing messages I'm learning from the Renegade and Magnetic Marketing. I feel like I'm in a different mindset (almost a different world) than I was just a couple of months ago. It seems like every day I pick up new information that finally makes some sense to me. I know the stuff has probably always been there, but I've been blind to it in the last two years.
Thanks for the great gift of Altitude and the 5 steps.

Eben,
Great stuff here. The most valuable lesson is "The Justice Mechanism". I'm a perpetrator.
Just a quick question: how do you apply the "moving the free line" system to a hard products company? With information, you can give away quite a lot and still have something left to make money on. On products, however, it can quickly put you out of business if you do it wrong.
Thanks,
Jacob

Hi Eban
This video is a comprehensive review of everything you will ever need to start, grow, and maintain your business, be it on line or off line. The quality and quantity of it exemplifies and demonstrates the use of the Justice Mechanism to your advantage - you have given a high standard video, which will definitely make people want to find out more about the Altitide Programme that teaches and expands their knowledge of the principles enumerated in the video. I am going to apply that Justice Mechanism to my off line mini market from today and I will let you know about the success or otherwise of my experiment. I am also applying the 'Driver' ideology in my recruiting for my food to go business, and also passing it on to my children so that they can use the principles to elevate themselves in their various jobs.
Well done! And may God bless you!!

One of the results of watching this video is that I realize I would like to be a driver.
My main challenge is that I am not.
My question is, how does someone who is not a driver, but wants to become one, actually become one?

Eben,
Since attending Altitude last year, I have returned to my notes about 10-12 times. There was a lifetime worth of business information in the Altitude training, and the great thing about it is that like this video, you break it into bite-sized chunks, and keep repeating the information so that it can really soak in and be applied.
Thank-you for this video, which was both a reminder of things I need to be doing, and of things I've done since Altitude which have led to an even more successful and enjoyable life.
Warm Regards,
Jonathan

Hi Eben,
Alot of the information you've given for free I am sure most know about i.e. hiring ther right person, focusing on your primary business etc. What I feel most didn't know is how getting it wrong could be disastrous for a business! And that is the key - i.e. many of us are aware of the facts you have given for free but have not really implemented the ideas that go along with them to make sure that the chances of business failure are decreased while success rate is increased!
I liked the idea about emphasising on what one has that your other comeptitors don't have and I will be implementing this for sure in my marketing.
A well delivered video that emphasised it is not difficult to make a success out of a business so long as the basics are done, and done well!
Thanks

I find that most people have trouble thinking very far outside the box, I guess like those "reactive" types you mentioned. Your video here obviously makes people see their business or internet marketing from a more realistic & practical view point. All the 5 elements you discussed in the video need to be equally addressed in order to be successful either online or off-line. Thanks for the great basic business 101 advice. I look forward to more of your common sense internet business ideas in your future emails and Altitude Program.

Eben, thanks again!
I am on your "wake up productive" program now, and I am sure that the content of this program will be best available on the market.
I need a little bit more information before I decide to take the program:
- Will you talk about a niche decision making process?
- Will you help the new in the business people (like me) on their first steps? Usually programs like this are too fast for me in the beggining; they directly "jump" to more advanced material. For example talking about hiring stuff is not so relevant, I need still work with service providers (like copywriters, advisers, coaches like you,...). So advice with what kind of personnel to start will be great!
Posted by: Liat Tabibi | 9:07 PM
Great video. I would like to hear more on systems and I'm sure you have a ton of insight on that category alone. Systems in this day and age are so vital and we are offered hundreds of ways to do each task. It's hard to sift through all the options and sticking to one is even harder. Example CRMs, how many are out there and which one satisfies all needs. You could spend days trying to figure that out and that's a very small, yet important piece to the puzzle. My business uses 21 different vendors to make up my systems and I had to research everyone before I decided there was a fit. Could there be an easier way? Thanks again for the video.

I especially liked the "daily update" idea, and the hiring examples. I was EXCITED to see that the one trait is to be a DRIVER and your definition of what a DRIVER is. I teach the concept of personal responsibility and how to spot it in your staff and how to identify the lack of it in your own work. Thanks again for some new distinctions.

Hey Eben, great stuff.
The biggest eye-opener for me was the idea that work expands to fill the time allotted. I can DEFINITELY attest to that.
I remember working as an intern this past summer as an editor for a high-end magazine. When they just left me alone, it would take me ALL DAY to write two or three articles.
But as soon as my boss would show up and say "I need this article done in 30 minutes," I WOULD GET IT DONE IN 30 MINUTES!
Eben.. the daily report was an awesome tool. I figured it "sets a time limit" on the person, telling them that they better have results each day. Definitely add more stuff in the future about how time limits add positive pressure/stress on a person and motivates them to get things done quickly and efficiently!
Thanks and I'm waiting for the next videos!

For the most part Eben, the kind of business you are talking about is so far over my head I wondered if I was in the right place.
Of course I am!!How could anyone listen to this and not learn?
I learned about the kind of employee I have been and then about the kind of entrepreneur I am becoming.
I do not aspire to become a multi-millionaire - but of course, if it does come to me I would not be throwing it back.
When I decided to become self employed and pursue an income from marketing on the internet, I had such stars in my eyes enchanted with great posibilities.
You present clear logical sound advice that is wonderfully VALUABLE. I appreciate every word. You also posess the wisdom to show the way without knocking the stars out of someone's eyes!
For me, the most valuable part is how you stressed the art of GIVIGNG, you've explained very well it's integral importance.
Ha! Could that be Itegrity? Blessed Be.
I look forward to the appropriate time for me to take your live class. 'Till then, thank you, this has been fun.

Eben,
You are truly a role model, "practicing what you preach." I learned more practical, useful tools in 47 minutes than I have in some weekend seminars. My coach, Christian Mickelsen, says "over promise and then over deliver." That is exactly what you do.
That is win-win.

Found the following most useful:
1) 5 points were concise which is always helpful. 2) description of a "driver" and suggestion to ask a prospective employee to tell "stories" about their role. This would apply in any situation I feel.
3)Give away massive value for free - the 80/20 rule in reverse made sense but I had never thought of it in the way you presented.
Thank you
Posted by: Shoe Goddess | 5:52 AM
Eben, Hi ..
Giving time to watching your videos is always worthwhile. I learned about single task focusing in your last video and the reminder in this one (and future ones) provides good continuity.
Being the driver is a great way to describe the trait most sought after in teams and employees.
I've learned how implementing the Daily Update is both a tried and true discipline and means to learn about the way a person responds and their patterns inside a paradigm.
I agree the power of moving the free line certainly increases willingness in hearts to trust.. and I've noticed one downside to this in many free offerings: certain IM marketers hop onto the free bandwagon, manage to create huge buzz focused on attracting the wide-eyed ones who are just starting out online, when their content doesn't deserve the attention they get or the trustful purchases of ultimately empty or misleading boxes. Would it be possible for you to describe, within your free content videos, a system for those just starting out, enabling recognition of the wolf in sheep's clothing?
Thank you for being a great example of the right way to accomplish success.

This multi-tasking and interruptions. Especially when it comes to emails. I'm in a network marketing company so I'm not sure how some of the things you talked about here apply. Like giving something away for free. I can educate people on the benefits of my product with free reports, but that might come off as pure self promotion. Is that a bad thing?
Thanks
Ellen

Thank you for reminding us to Hire Slow and Fire Fast. This is extremely good advice and can make or break a business. Players who don't want to play by the rules or WITH the team, ruin the game for everyone and cost business owners time and money. They poison everyone and should be let go or encouraged to pursue other opportunities outside of your organization.

Thank you Eban for:
Your clarity in describing each of the elements you cover.
Your willingness to share such valuable information
...and for the information itself which is just spectacular.
For practicing what you preach which shows us how it's done
For expanding my thinking with your ideas
For sharing the names of books and authors from whom I can also learn
For being an example of excellent delivery. You are interesting and straightforward without being preachy, shrill, bombastic or boring. Your simple and classy set and clothing are additional elements which demonstrate how to make a good impression.
It's a rare marketer who makes me want to open his/her mailings and listen to what they have to say but you do this and instill confidence as well.
I'm so pleased to have "met" you.

Hi Eben
Good Video.
Having turned round/grown three businesses - I have intuitively used in my thought process your new product/market 3 question tests, and I would recommend these questions to others. Most businesses are inwardly focused and sell what "they think" the customer wants. That's great for the rest of us to grow quickly at their expense.
The "driver" employee trait and new joiner daily email are also sound advice.
Many Thanks

Nice review of some very good info from the Altitude program.
As a previous Altitude customer, I've implemented many of the marketing concepts (dramatically improved customer-focused website, free downloads, articles, etc.), but still trying to figure out the best way to use this material as a recording artist and motivational humorist. Arts and entertainment seem trickier somehow.
Any special ideas or examples for people in the arts/entertainment would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey Eben, great video as ever, and looking forward to the Altitude home study course. Your honest, open, transparent approach is so refreshing, and is surely the way to go for all of us in internet marketing. With customers getting so savvy in their understanding of when they're being "sold", and with so much total crap out there, I reckon your approach is the way to go. Here's to a huge 2009 for you, and may it be the year of the "good guy" who offers good old fashioned massive value and honest service to his/her customers.

Very well done.
The information is very helpful and extremely important to any business.
Excellent presentation on marketing and market testing. This is the most fascinating point in my opinion. As people buy on emotional impulse and what to expect from the market after testing it. And the Give away of valuable products was fascinating. And very true on the JUSTICE SYSTEM..Well done.!!:)
I also totally agree with you on the Driver vs the C player wrong worker. And I really like this DAILY 10 minutes email system. This sounds like a great way to separate the good the bad and the UGLY.
I am especially grateful to Kurt Mortensen from the persuasioninstitute.com

Great stuff. Getting the Driver in place is crucial. Why settle for the slacker? I like the fact that you repeat your statements. I know we can stop the video but when you emphasize it like that, we take notice. And also "Write that down". These NLP keys are important in guiding your audience to where you want to go.

Your training is awesome!
I've been an entrepreneur for the past 30 years, and wish that I had internalized many of the ideas you presented. In particular, the three rules about choosing a market. All too often, we tend to "fix problems" for customers without knowing what we're fixing. In Stephen Covey's 7 Habits, he has a story about the lumber company cutting down the wrong forest.
Thanks for making me think!
Regards,
Fred
P.S. It would be helpful if your video player had a reverse and fast forward button. I frequently need to re-listen to a section to absorb all the wisdom you are conveying.

Thank you for your video. I really like the information about the daily results. I think that would have been great for me when I started out in business. Now, I will use it for all my new clients. I was also surprised to hear about the multitasking. I always prided myself on having the ability to multitask and now I realize that I was really hindering all my efforts. Amazingly, it makes sense! Next time someones says, "How do you get it all done?" I will say because I know how to stay focused rather than I am an expert at multitasking. I look forward to seeing your next video.

Thanks, Eban. I really like this. I love how you are focusing on bottom-line business practices, and it's not just another "drive massive traffic to your site" type program.
There's way too much information out there about the nuts and bolts of internet marketing, and not nearly enough about the psychology, and fundamental business systems.
Not to say I'm against your explainig marketing techniques, but even that is so much more valuable in the bigger context.

Hey Eben,
I would like to congratulate you on your decision to push the "free line" a bit further. The beauty of knowledge (information) sharing is that regardless of what is being communicated, you will always find at least someone who will benefit from it. And knowing that in sharing you've nourished a seedling, allowing it to bloom into that thousand petal lotus, that feels simply great. And there's always the question of whether the information was given out simply as a result of the giver's free will, or was it conjured up by someone else's need for nourishment? As that age old Buddhist saying goes: "When the students are ready, teachers start showing."
Whichever the case may be, thank you for sharing; you have some interesting insights and Kabbalistically speaking, I like your emphasis on the importance of the inner transformation (mitzvah), that move away from a re-active and into a pro-active modus operandi (and why not - vivendi?).
Look forward to hearing from you soon!
Best Regards,
Dinu

Eben,
I believe this is GREAT material! Thank you! However, I would like to ask you to clear up a point for me. In your material, you say to look for someone who is 'actively seeking' a solution, before you create and offfer a product to solve that pain point. Later in your training, you state that you generate leads, and then 'educate them' into how to use/consume your product. I believe I understand the distinction, but would appreciate your clarification, to make sure that I understand properly.
Thank you very much!

Eban:
I was sent to this video by Stephen Pierce, and this was an unbelievable opportunity I may have not taken action on otherwise.
Having been on the business side of business, the people and hiring/firing techniques are dead on i.e. they resonate and have practiced them to lesser and greater degrees depending on what I was working on. I have always hired A people even if they got much more than the other members which were inherited......Because they produce, they are always open to new practices and techniques and they are willing to share information easily because they have a strong sense of self and are not threatened. The A people make any project come to fruition, and eventually you get to move out the inherited and replace them because your projects come in on time and within budget. A people make you look better allowing you to move on to bigger projects - of course taking them with you - in other words it is a win/win situation. And, in the process help them move onward and upward themselves by supporting their need to grow and prosper.
However, the points on Prospects,Marketing, and Single Focus were concepts that I have heard about but never understood - they were gray and fuzzy. Now they are clear and sharp.
I commend you on this video as it phenomenal in its clarity and focus, real teaching allowing for real learning.
Thank you - Elizabeth

I appreciated the ability to stop the video while I made notes and the ability to backtrack a few minutes to repeat important bits I didn't get the first time. The question I have for you is how does a person trained to be logical tap the pain and emotion and that I know exists in parents of children with learning difficulties when I know I have a solution to most of their learning difficulties?

Eben,
You've got a great manner of speaking and nice hi def video.
I found the material presented well. Much of it I've learned prior, and I think we must visit the same bookstores. Certainly valid and practical advice.
I'll look forward to catching your next video.

HI Eben;
I really liked the part about emotional selling vs logic. As a professional, Ive been doing it backwards, trying to appeal to people's logic. When promoting my MLM company, I found it difficult to not justify how my products would help them. Too much info, not enough emo!

Hi Eban, I found your 5 step system very interesting. I am a newbie in the Internet business and am in a mentoring class right now, and a lot of things you said were the same things I have heard from my mentor, especially the focusing on one important thing at a time, without distractions, and boy do I have a problem with that. I am trying hard to change. Thanks Glenda

Eben,
You're wonderful... so easy to assimilate the information that you deliver with such obvious experience and sincerity. This video was incredibly valuable to me... especially the "people" section.
I appreciate your delivery and approach to your listeners. It feels very respectful - a breath of fresh air in the world of so much hype-marketing.
Thank you!

Hi Eben,
Wow you always over deliver, the training was outstanding as usual.
I came away with a new outlook on how properly to structure my business for success.
I learned the importance of how to pick the right niche, based on the needs I'm trying to fill for the customers I'm trying to attract.
I learned the importance of time management, communication and hiring the right people.
I also learned the meaning of moving the free line.
I can't wait until the next training lesson.

Hey for anyone who thinks this free stuff rocks...
Wait'll ya see what you pay for. I own the first altitude program.
Before I set out to listen to it I didn't think there would be that much different about it.
I was mostly looking to freshen up my marketing mind.
When I listen to any new marketing program I'm always looking forward to hearing something never talked about in detail before or someone lend their unique life's perspective into the fundamentals.
Eben brought both of those to the table.
If you've watched this video I'm sure you don't need me to convince you of how sharp this guy is but I'll pound his chest for him anyway.
You are missing out if you don't avail yourself of this mans expertise.
Over. Period. Done.
Thank you Eben for your influence on the marketing/guru community step up to a new level.
You've woke every guru's ass up and made them step up their game.

Very professional, Eban, but of course you already know that. One of the few videos I watched all the way. Good info, especially for newbies, but good review and new ways of presenting it to old hands. I liked your reference info so much that I pause the video a couple of times to start commentary for my own blog -- which I have NEVER established, but you may have been the proper catalyst!

I have noticed that most people that run a successful business always have a A personality even if they start with a B personality they end up with an A personality. Now I understand why. Removing distractions is more productive then putting them in order.

Thanks for sharing. As I was listening to you, I got several ah ha's that I can apply immediately. Multi-tasking is something that most of us have been taught, and viewed as an asset in the work world. You will see it listed even in 2008 on job descriptions or job ads. I'm keeping this windo open so I can listen to this in the a.m. Been multi-tasking too much today. :-)

Eban,
That was great information. I'm about to launch at the end of the month and I was struggling with the justification mechanism for my prospective affiliates because I'm giving away the farm to my customers. But not anymore.
I had to go back and remind myself of something that I learned...... I'd rather have 1% of $100,000,000 than 100% of $100,000.
So, on that note, I'm grateful that I watched this and I'm looking forward to more. I must admit that I watched it only because Frank Kern said it was very good. :-)

Your fourth area on hiring the right people sure hit home. I have had a lead person in my business for 16 years who has not grown for the last 7-8 years. He is no longer a "Driver" and if I'm really honest with myself, probably never was. Coincidentally, my business has not grown in the last 7-8 years. I have worked harder to make my business survive in these last few years than any other time in my life. What an eye opener! It's time to thrive not just survive. Thank you Eben.

Eben,
I have three college degrees in business related subjects, have been a business employee for several years, and have owned my own business for several years. I only regret that the information you present had been available to me then.
You put more common sense (or should I more appropriately say "uncommon sense") into your short presentations than most (maybe all) full semester courses I've taken.
Thanks for your free line. Maybe I'll be able to share some of it with others.

I did not believe it the first time you told us not to multitask but while I was listening to this presentation someone came into the room and started talking to me. I realized that you were right and went back to where I had been before the interaction.
I also learned a lot from your description of how to select an employee. I hope to be able to hire some staff next summer and your information will make that easier and more efficient.

Eben ---
Thank you for more great information. I always go to your emails first and make listening to your videos with the TV turned down and when the phone won't interrupt a priority. Sometimes you remind me of what I already know and forgot to bring to my new, Internet endeavors. Always you give me good, useful information that inspires me to keep on working toward the day when I can afford your courses and seminars. I will be recommending this site to some non-Internet folk I know who do hiring and firing. I'm sure it will hit them, too, that drivers can make any business prosper.
My earlier offer to you still stands. I only hope that one day I will have the site and product that you will want to have your readers tap into. Ellen L "jemyl" Johnson from www.jemyl.net

Hello Eben,
Amazing material,i loved it , very well explained and not complicated words where you can find in others websites that they say are trying to teach you how to grow your business.
I just graduated Business Administration College and all i've watched today was keeping me update with everything in business.
About the drivers , i was reading few comments in here and someone said that are hard to find, yes is very true but unfortunately when are found are not appreciated at all.As an real example is me, i was the driver in the office but because all the time i was doing everything that takes to run the business smoothly, and i was all the time doing something , createing new projects i ended up been fired.
Anyway im looking forward to learn more from you and thank you very much for everything you are doing is very appreciated.

You are a true genius or better yet someone who is well read. I dig that. I am a voracious reader myself. I love learning about new ideas and implementing them into my businesses. I am gratefull for everything that you give away.
You never cease to amaze me and I am looking forward to more of your material.
I am going to implement more of the "free line" concept into one of my businesses right now.
When you told the story of the restaurant owner and painted the picture of endless new prospects and business it was a huge eye opener.

Hi Eben,
I just got through watching your video and also listening to you on the Arbritage Conspirators call with Aymen.
I can speak from experience that your video is spot on, applicable and valuable advice. I myself helped to start and build an engineering firm (defense contractor) in 1987 (from 8 employees) which we sold in 2003 (when we had over 500 employees and over 100x revenue growth) to Gen. Dynamics. I have since been retired but am learning the ways of being an internet entrepreneur. It's a different world than what I was a part of before but the fundamentals of business (some of which you address here in your video) remain the same.
Thanks for the valuable info and I'll keep an eye peeled for your class. Thanks for your time.

Hi Eben,
Besides all great info and the eye opener of the 50/50%:
the 'driver' was the most impressive one for me.
I learned that I am a driver, regardless the job and the product I was working for when I was having jobs. I learned that I better be opening up for more people to help growing my business! And that I need less fearing this, now that I can recognize a driver!
Looking forward to next lessons!

Thank you for sharing.
As part of the management team of multimillion dollar businesses for over twenty years I very much agree with your teaching points. I have just not heard them articulated in the way you are doing in the past. Thank you for moving the free line. Your Virtual bench and the daily update are both points that I particularly liked.
Although I am not positioned to take your Get Altitude training right now I will be following you to see where you lead.
That could very well lead to training later and/or recommendations to others in my network.
Wishing you every success to you and your teams.

Eben: I enjoyed your production very much as it was very insightful. Being at the brink of company start-up you brought some very good ideas to mind, which I quickly jotted down and plan to implement. As my company is in it's inception phase I do not have the additional resources to purchase your product, however as the company starts to grow I do plan on returning to your website and doing just that. If you can provide a discount that would definitely be an incentive. :-) [Never hurts to ask]. Well, I have to go. Thanks again!

I have learned a lot from your two videos. I have been giving away lots of free info and helping a lot of companies improve employee morale - which is my specialty. I do a free weekly newsletter with a low-cost morale booster idea in each one. I also am giving a free 2009 Employee Morale Calendar Planner, and have gotten a lot of response to that.
It makes me feel good to help so many people who really need the help, and to know that eventually it will convert into sales.

Hi Eben,
Good insight. It will be helpful as I start from scratch to build something impressive. It gives me something to focus on when, in the future, I need to hire other people or hire out other people.
Daily updates, a good idea. It makes people be results oriented - active.
It the past, I have always been somewhat demanding resulting in alienation, then I tried being their friend even appologetic and got poor performance.
'Tis true, good people are hard to find. I suppose this is the case no matter what you are paying them.
Because of this economy, I can foresee working with family members. I will need to consider just how to handle this. I cannot allow people, family included, to disrupt the work effort.
Your idea of Teams is good. Although I have heard of teams before, I have never experienced the predetermined concept of teams. Thinking back, the team concept, while unintentional, seems to work even for installing pools, which has been my primary line of contracting.
In pools, my goal was always to get my guys to realize that they get paid the same amount for a pool no matter how long it takes. Everyone needs to know the system to make things go smoothly and keep moving toward completion and then move on to the next pool. In the past I have set the pace and I make sure it is done right.
When I tried to delegate, I found that: either work slows OR quality suffers. My guys preferred me on the job rather than me moving on to prepare the next job.
Pehaps it would behove you to address these issues for people. I have a feeling I am going to run into it in internet marketing as well.
Blessings,
Dave

Hi Eben,
WoW what a video seminar!
After this seminar I understand why I can't see the wood for trees!
You ask me to write down what I've learned in this video.
It's simple! I think about that by myself already, to concentrate on one program and to throw away all this "gurus" e-book and useless data! And second to open one personal top secret email address!
If we talk about market then old ones from my country says "Better to be first in village then the last one in the city!". Same thing is with market. Avoid crowded places! Research what is hot niche and what people are looking for, just for example instead to look for keyword "New Year" look for "new year travel deals" which is much more specific.
In this example you can give to your customer massive value and you can ask them to give you feed back about the trip. Then you can recruit newbies!
But that is just theory! To distinguish work and results "I must eat a lot more polenta!"
Best regards

Enjoyed the video, makes me think I need to refocuss myself, stopped multitasking by LISTENING to you. Seems I would be a bad employee, will start by answering the questions to myself, and try to stop procastinating. Just have read an interesting article about this in a magazine, did you know that the solutions for this is to put some clear task and time limit in an agenda. Will send my email to myself and answer the queston now...

I always appreciate your professionalism, your wisdom and your generosity in sharing information that is so helpful, straight forward, grounded, and not all hyped up with people distastefully pointing their finger at you trying to get you to purchase their product. When people purchase your product it is because they have had time to digest the tasters and it only follows that they will then be hungry enough to come back for some more.
Thank you for the daily updates..cant wait to start using this..seems like it would work on so many levels..as it respects your employee and promotes the building of an open honest and trusting relationship..and if that doesn't happen then you know that it it is not a good match.
Namaste,

You have it all... and I'm excited to have the privilege of learning from you. I wish I had heard what you have to say 20+ years ago. I left my management job and I'm soon going to be an internet marketer. My soldest son is a "driver" and works with the federal government. He always want to be involved...or help where he sees a need..and has been repremanded because it's"not in his job descrpton". Another son is also a driver... but his manager takes all the credit. He says it's his job to make his manager look good.(to off-site managers). I look forward to learning from you.

I would have probably paid well over a $100 for the stuff I just learned. Keep up the good work Eben. I hope I can join your altitude course, although I probably won't be able to afford it right now. If you break up the total payment (whatever it's going to be) into small payments each month, you can sign me up right now. Any options for that?

Eben,
Thank you so much for all the high value content you provide. I've been applying everything I've learned from you since Attraction Isn't a Choice.
As you said in another video, school is all theory and no application. I am in college now and I have to think about internships to start my career. It would be amazing for driver-type students to be able to learn your skills, or at minimum learning from people you recommend.
Maybe Altitude could have a system set up for the best college students to connect with you or your clients that need interns. Just a thought, hope it's worth a millions.

Great set of videos. One of the few times that I didn't mind putting in my email twice, lol.
Someone above mentioned that "Drivers" are hard to find. And I guess everyone here would agree, particularly after hearing the definition.
The reason most posted here is because they are drivers.
Suppose drivers simply aided other drivers in their goals?
We can't all be 110% at everything. Sometimes there are 6-8 things that must be accomplished at an average driver level of 85% or higher.
Fail by just a few points in any of the key areas and the sales dropoff just becomes incredible - well not so incredible when sales are Zero right?
But by having Drivers and overachievers combine to help other drivers - even for short periods of time ( like to get someone over a hump ) one might get some interesting synergistic effects...
I am available ... click on my name leave me a message let me know what kind of help you might need and I am on it.
I will open a section on my blog called Drivers.
Only those here will know what that means.

I really enjoyed the segment about hiring "drivers". When a company hires productive and responsible employees, the management can concentrate on growing the business.
In addition the 3 questions on starting a business product or service was very insightful and correct. Consumers buy with their emotions. I totally understood about selling to desperate consumers and being the best in market.
Eben you are truly a goldmine of information.

Hi Eben
Many thanks for the free content videos each of which are of of such high value.
Even though much of what you had to say, particularly in relation to "You" and "People" I've put into practice and trained others to do the same, I was nevertheless, extremely impressed with the clarity, precision and presentation of your message which, together with the other three "keys" can only benefit those of us who are serious about growing our business to a level beyond the mediocre.
I've taken copious notes and was especially glad to have the names of the authors of books whose works have benefited you. These same books are on my "Must Read" list to which I look forward during the Christmas break.
Many thanks, again. I look forward to your emails and hope to number among your students.
Kind regards.

Prominent takeaways from this and the other videos are three, first its good to wear a silk pink tie with a expensive suit, definitely gives one a real touch of class. Second, I really need to stop multitasking and unitask and... begin smoking pot to improve my performance as an entreprenuer, the problem than will be the added weight gain from the munchies as well as the added worry of not getting my other tasks done. All the above said in jest, :)
Third and the real benefit of watching is the concise components you put around running a business and willing it to grow to whatever level you desire. You give laser-like highlights to this process and you definitely peaked my interest and desire to learn and master the guts of each of these components. A truly excellent and sincere presentation.
Best wishes on your launch,
Tim
